Mixerr Album Reviews #1,029

This is Michael Mixerr. Tonight I will review The Introduction by Crafty from 1997.

This album was released in 1997 on Sweet-P's Deuce 8 Productions. Sweet-P did most of the production for this album. The production style is similar to Doodooism and G-Funk rap. Basically the production style is similar to San Antonio rap even though Crafty is a rap artist from Seattle, Washington. This album has that Seatown Funk sound. Gangsta rap meets funk on this album. A Sweet P and Crafty combination led this album to be a success in the Seattle underground music scene.

In fact Seattle Rap is often overlooked along with San Antonio Rap. Seattle Rap with the exceptions of Sir Mix A Lot, Kid Sensation, and SIC ILL is very much slept on. This album is another one of those albums that was overlooked in the gangsta rap era of 1992 to 2007. Leading this album to be lost in the gangsta rap era.

The whole album is so dope! In fact, the album was slept on by most rap collectors. That's why the price for this CD is so high. There is a high demand for this album on CD. That's why you see The Introduction album selling higher than $300 (US Dollars)!

I rate this album, The Introduction, 5/5*****!
