Mixerr Album Reviews #1,030

This is Michael Mixerr. Today I will review Kid Sensation - Back Home.

Seattle's Sir Mix A Lot ex-protege Kid Sensation delivers to us a new rap album with a breath of freshness. The quality of the sound and production is clear cut. He uses updated techniques for production. The flow smooth with the sound. He does not adhere to music industry standards or the pressure that comes along with it. Back Home is his rebound album. Back Home has an old school feel with a new school sound. Funk meets hip hop and rap on Back Home. Kid Sensation has become a big name in the field of music production as a respected producer and sports industry.

The rap song Back Home serves as a welcoming to Ken Griffey Jr. to the town of Seattle that made him a MLB All Star. This song marked Griffey's return to the Seattle Mariners.

Caramel Drop is a short sweet subtle rap song with a breath of freshness. The R&B chorus lays down some angelic harmonious vocals. Rap meets R&B on Caramel Drop. Kid Sensation himself produced the entire song. All the ladies will enjoy this song.

Included in this album also is a 20th anniversary remix of certified gold hit Back To Boom with Seattle pioneer rapper Sir Mix A Lot! The production is updated to match up with technological standards of today. Kid Sensation brings out the Seatown Funk in the remix of Back To Boom.

Dig the flow and word play on No Respect! It has the Kid Sensation sound written all over it with that Seatown Funk.

I rate this album, Back Home, 4/5****.
