History of Queen Elizabeth High School in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada explored.

Queen Elizabeth High School was built as an art deco building that was a large red brick building with beautiful decor in the year of 1941. Its interesting noticeable architectural features are the art deco architecture designed its masonry brick. Several science laboratories were built. Queen Elizabeth High School was built throughout the 1941-1942 school year.

Queen Elizabeth High School opened in September 1942. Queen Elizabeth High School was said to be situated at one of Halifax's busiest intersections on the corner of Bell Road and Robie Street.

Queen Elizabeth High School closed in June 2007 to form the to form Citadel High School at the former site of the Halifax Nova Scotia Community College campus. The moves generated controversy due to the land size. Historical rivalries were had between the schools. The school was demolished in 2012.
