COVID-19 cases reach a record-high in the United States for the first time since August.

So far there are over 50,000+ new coronavirus cases in the US. The United States is now averaging 48,256 new coronavirus cases per day which was the highest average since August 18. This marks a record-high for the first time since August and an increase of 12% percent from 2 weeks earlier.

51,094 new cases were reported in the US on October 10, 2020. At the end of October 10, 2020, there were a total of 54,639 new positive testing cases of COVID-19 were recorded and released to the public. Overall there have been 214,100 deaths from COVID-19. 214,100 is the national death toll. This brings the number of positive COVID-19 cases in the US to higher than 7.7 million.

Coronavirus cases in the US remain above 50,000 because government officials do not have plans in place to fight off or handle this deadly virus. Coronavirus cases still remain above 50,000 in the US alone overall.
