German man Herman Peter Baden didn't like farming. He wanted to move away and escape the farming business. The rural lifestyle was just not for him. So him and his family moved to a "mansion" at 2327 Putnam Street in Toledo, Ohio in the year of 1924. This silver colored mansion was a wood 3-story house which had many fireplaces, a huge dining room including a built-in buffet with beveled glass doors, a ballroom with doors that slid into the wall, a maids entrance, a 6 foot oak stairway, 2 upstairs apartments for guests, and a wine room. Unfortunately however the children hated Toledo. Herman Peter Baden invested in the stock market and soon lost his money. Rosenburg sold the property to Toledo Olde Towne Community Organization in late 1988.
