Brother James Edward Murphrey was responsible for starting Northside Blanco Road Baptist Church in 1958. He started the Northside Blanco Road Baptist Church in San Antonio and conducted a daily 30 minute radio broadcast which operated every day. A new auditorium was completed and dedicated in 1960 under the leadership of Bro. Murphrey. Northside Blanco Road Baptist Church had 300 members in their congregation. Rev.
