Jovonn – Out All Nite E.P. is one of the earlier releases from Jovonn and in his discography from 1991. This was back when Jovonn was primarily sticking to just house music and not incorporating or using different styles of music such as garage house or dance as he does currently. Each track is a solid banger you definitely should not miss out on listening to or skip. Each track is a masterpiece worth listening to. His work on those keys make house perfection.
N.Y. N.J. uses a wonderful fusion of New York City electronic and New Jersey garage house. That is where the NYC sound comes from. The song uses a lively combination of thick jungle beats, percussion, and jazzy saxophones. The instruments provide nice grooves.
Nite Roads is one of the most exceptional tracks from Jovonn. He always puts his foot into his chord arrangements. That is why the song has such a beautiful bass line. Jovonn's beautiful work on the keys provide nice grooves as his hands on those keys make make house perfection. The instruments provide nice grooves also.
Jovonn - Flutes (Hillside Ave Mix) use more dance oriented beats and a collection of static than (165th Street Mix) did. The MIDI flute solo is extended a bit longer too.
Jovonn performs an incredible MIDI flute solo on Flutes (165th Street Mix) to the point where his work on the keys is insane and quite profound. Jovonn's hands on those keys make house perfection. The track uses a 4|4 time signature.
I rate this EP 4/5****!!
