Mixerr Album Reviews #1,245

This is Michael Mixerr. Today I will review U2 - Boy.

To most U2 fans, Boy was a 4/5**** star album despite going onto sell millions of copies across the globe on an international level. As with most U2 albums, the mood is mellow and the sound is smooth. Not to mention the vibe is smooth. This U2 album has an acoustic rhythmic feel inside the guitars used. The guitars used on this U2 album give the album a pop feel and pop flair.

The Ocean has a theme of loneliness and isolation. Loneliness is the theme for The Ocean song. The Ocean is similar to a grey opaque painting rather than an abstract painting. Things get philosophical on The Ocean as the name Dorian Grey is a reference to the philosophical novel by Oscar Wilde called The Picture of Dorian Gray written in 1890.

Twilight visits the subject of age progression. The song Twilight uses the term “twilight” as a symbolism of moving forward toward our future. U2 focuses on both age progression and moving forward towards the future on Twilight.

I rate this album, Boy, 4/5****.
