Mixerr Album Reviews #1,595

Natives In Black - Can't Come Close is a lost classic album from both Boston hip hop and Boston rap coming from the 1990s. In fact, Can't Come Close is the most overlooked album from 1992. The lyrics have a raw hardcore edge to them. This East Coast hip hop album is filled with heavy beats over many samples. Each song on this album is sample crazy. Rusty Pendleton aka Rusty The Toejammer produced the whole album on Funky Fresh Records.

Women Beater is a negative song that degrades women and is about abuse towards women. The track is complimented with heavy beats. The track uses samples from Public Enemy - Show What Ya Got, Eazy-E - Eazier Said Than Dunn, and Prince - StarFish and Coffee.

Boston's in the House is a hip hop track that represents the city of Boston, Massachusetts. The beats used on here are super dope! The beats are well polished and clear.

Don't Look is a Natives In Black vs MC Hammer track meaning that this track is an MC Hammer diss. Not that many people catch when listening to this song by Natives In Black. The entire track is laced with heavy bass that will rumble your speakers.

I rate this album, Can't Come Close, 4/5****!
