Natives In Black – Sick Of Da Bullshit! is the most underrated and overlooked album from both Boston hip hop and Boston rap coming from the 1990s. The album has some of that early mid-90s gangsta rap over 90s hip hop. The lyrics have a raw hardcore edge to them. This East Coast hip hop album is filled with heavy beats over many samples. Each song on this album is sample crazy. Rusty Pendleton aka Rusty The Toejammer produced the whole album on Funky Fresh Records.
Criminal Assassin will remind you of 90s gangsta rap. The track is complimented with heavy beats. The news clippings and samples are well selected and arranged by the producers. Criminal Assassin is notable for its hardcore lyrics. The samples used are Dr. Dre - Rat-Tat-Tat-Tat, ShineHead - Who The Cap Fits, and MC Lyte - Mickey Slipper.
No Peace uses a selection of vinyl scratches, breakbeats, noises, and samples fans of East Coast hip hop will surely enjoy! The song itself has a chopped & screwed feel to it inside the vocals. The song No Peace is a Funky Fresh posse cut.
Freestyle is a lyrical Funky Fresh freestyle track. This freestyle track has both an East Coast hip hop and East Coast rap feel to it. The Freestyle song uses samples from Ice-T - Tower, James Brown - Funky Drummer, and Kool & The Gang - Chocolate Buttermilk.
Act Like You Know is a hip hop styled song with fast rapping on a dope beat. The vinyl scratches make the song even more enjoyable. This is real hip hop.
Women Beater is a negative song that degrades women and is about abuse towards women. The track is complimented with heavy beats. The track uses samples from Public Enemy - Show What Ya Got, Eazy-E - Eazier Said Than Dunn, and Prince - StarFish and Coffee.
I rate this album, Sick Of Da Bullshit!, 5/5*****!
