The most notable residence next to Diamond J Motel was the Linda Martin Home. The Linda Martin Home was owned by a business owner and longtime Oakwood Heights resident Linda Martin. She lived there for 42 years. Linda Martin’s home sits right behind Diamond J Motel. Linda Martin had lived until 2010 when the City of Detroit offered $50,000 dollars in buyout money so Marathon Oil Refinery could build an annex on her land.
